Educational broadcasting has remained one of the most effective channels for promoting quality education, social transformation, civic participation, and national development. In Nigeria, radio, television, satellite broadcasting, and digital media continue to play significant roles in disseminating educational content to diverse populations regardless of geographical location, socioeconomic status, or educational background. As gender inequality continues to impede leadership development and inclusive governance, educational broadcasting offers a strategic platform for promoting gender-equitable leadership by challenging stereotypes, encouraging equal participation, and fostering positive attitudes toward women's and men's leadership roles. This paper examines the importance of educational broadcasting in shaping gender-equitable leaders in Nigeria. It discusses the concept of educational broadcasting, gender-equitable leadership, and relevant communication theories that explain media influence on societal attitudes. The paper identifies challenges affecting educational broadcasting in Nigeria and proposes strategies for maximizing its effectiveness in promoting gender equality and inclusive leadership. The study concludes that educational broadcasting remains a vital instrument for nurturing future leaders who embrace equity, justice, diversity, and sustainable national development.
